We selected Chris as our October winner based on the ballot received from Kristina Bird of Victoria, which read:

Chris, in his role as a Customer Relations Advisor, dealt with a family who, while travelling with us, had a situation where their three year old son was bitten by a dog on the ferry. Chris, being the Customer Service professional that he is, apologized for the customer’s experience and went further to arrange for a stuffed animal to be sent to the little boy.  The customer wrote to us “I just wanted to send a big thank you to the customer Care Team for sending a little toy to my three year old! He was bitten by a dog whose owner for some reason had it on the upper decks.  It was very scary for him but we certainly in no way blamed the ferries!  The owner of the dog didn’t even apologize for the incident – they just took off, so we definitely appreciate this nice gesture from BC Ferries.  Actually, the timing worked out perfectly as we just had another baby four days ago so my son was pretty excited to get a gift in the mail that was for him, not his baby sister!”
